i agree with your sentiments, after all, people who invested a lot in the
older cards now have money for apps....whereas if they now have to buy new
hardware..well, then there wont be money to purchase any new software

..well, i see no reason..apart from lack of time and money that would
mean OS3.9 COULDNT run native on our current PPC hardware
yes, we have MorphOS, but thats 68k emulation of AmigaOS3.9 on PPC
native PPC os3.9 would fly along...but really thats what os4.x will be
(with the old 68k apps - and some of the OS in the first versions - being
handled by emulation) This big issue, of course, is that os4.x aint gonna
run on the old PPC cards......THATS to do with ZICO specifications
perhaps DCE could make some little adapter that not only gives the PPC
some L2 cache but also disables the 68k (allowing the PPC to use the L2
etc) and a FlashROM update which allows the card to boot from the PPC
perhaps then, with the Predator card it'll be a ZICO spec system
